Andrew LUK

b. 1988, New Jersey, USA

Andrew Luk graduated from University of Suffolk in UK with Bachelor degrees in Fine Arts and European History in 2010. In 2015, Luk had a solo exhibition “No Fixed Abode” at Videotage, Hong Kong. His work was exhibited in various group exhibitions including “At Wit’s End” (Kula-Bazaar Asia Culture Center, Gwangju, Korea, 2016); “Change Seed: Contemporary Art from Hong Kong & Beyond” (Center on Contemporary Art, Washington, USA, 2015). In 2014, Luk was awarded an Emerging Artist Grant presented by Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He currently lives and works in Hong Kong.

About the work
Andrew Luk fabricates entropic installations that draw inspiration from the mischief of found objects. Defying logic and at times gravity, his work forms a new material order to investigate our relation to the corporeal world.
