Blindspot Gallery is delighted to participate in the Art Basel Online Viewing Rooms. For our online showroom, we are featuring the works of Chinese artists, Chen Wei, Hao Jingban, Jiang Zhi, Lam Tung Pang, Sarah Lai, Pixy Liao, and Trevor Yeung.

This selection includes artworks originally commissioned for the 2020 edition of Art Basel Hong Kong. Lam Tung Pang’s newly made painting Meaningless no.12 (2020) is a large-scale still life of wild daffodils, executed in colourful acrylic and black charcoal on plywood. Wavering against a sudden wind, the flowers anchor in the soil in a bid to survive uncontrollable environmental forces. Trevor Yeung’s Rock Sitters (The World is Burning) (2019) is a unique etching on archival inkjet print. Showing a distant landscape on fire, the togetherness of the foregrounded couple strikes a hopeful contrast to the doom of global catastrophes.

Our online preview is accessible through Artbasel.com or the Art Basel App in the following times:
VIP Preview: March 18 2020, 6pm HKT – March 19 2020, 6pm HKT (By Invitation Only)
Public Days: March 20 2020 6pm HKT – March 25 2020, 6pm HKT

We sincerely invite you to join us in our online exhibition.
