Bi Rongrong

Bi Rongrong has a solid foundation in traditional Chinese landscape painting. Her current works include “drawing”, “weaving” and “pattern”. In recent years, Rongrong has been visiting different cities through residencies and trips, observing and recording them from a personal perspective, and experimenting with a diverse range of media, extracting and reconfiguring images and patterns from different social and cultural contexts. Her mixed-media works are visually compelling, deconstructing traditional forms of painting and textiles while offering new interpretations of materiality, architecture and natural forms.
