Catch Eason’s group exhibition “MMCA Residency Changdong Report 2022: Kim Holely Chen” now at MMCA Changdong Galleries 1 and 2, running until December 4. The exhibition explores how the resident artists who, having left their homes and moved into an unfamiliar place, apply methods of identification to create works of art about themselves. It emphasises the way each artist reveals him/her/themselves by embracing the limitations of a residency exhibition that cannot tie multiple works together under a united theme. “Kim Holely Chen” represents a fabricated individual embodying all these artists, holding a “solo show”.
