Trevor Yeung’s solo exhibition “Garden of the Nine Suns” at CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, France

Trevor Yeung’s first institutional solo exhibition in France, “Garden of the Nine Suns,” will
be on view in CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux from 3 April to 29 September, 2026.

Inspired from the Chinese mythological folklore where Hou Yi shot down nine of the ten suns after their chaotic convergence, the exhibition transforms the main hall into a giant vivarium bathed in green light. At the heart of the nave, a scaffolding bridge will allow visitors to rise to the heights of the space and enjoy a different perspective of the vast exhibition. This structure also supports coloured ribbons that visitors will be invited to hang throughout the exhibition, using the bridge as a wishing tree. Representing a rainbow in progress, this work follows in the footsteps of Yeung’s work, which gives natural phenomena and our desires sculptural forms allowing us to understand them in a different way.

Venue: CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, France (7 Rue Ferrere, 33000 Bordeaux, France)
