Issac Chong Wai’s work in a group exhibition “DANCE!” at Kunsthalle Mannheim

Issac Chong Wai’s work will be on view in a group exhibition “DANCE!” at Kunsthalle Mannheim, Mannheim, Germany.

“Starting with Edgar Degas’s Dancers, the exhibition spans from the international avant-garde to the present day, featuring live performances. Works by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Oskar Schlemmer, and Georg Kolbe enter into a dialogue with artists such as Lavinia Schulz, Marie Laurencin, and Alexandra Exter. The exhibition also focuses on choreography as a central source of inspiration for numerous artists, including Emma Amos and Barkley L. Hendricks. Contemporary commissioned works by Tino Sehgal and Isaac Chong Wai, created specifically for the exhibition, open up new perspectives and build a bridge to the present.” —— Kunsthalle Mannheim
