Blindspot Gallery is proud to announce that Isaac Chong Wai and Xiyadie have been invited to participate in the Main Exhibition of the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, entitled “Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere”, curated by Adriano Pedrosa. The exhibition is divided into two main segments: the “Nucleo Contemporaneo”, which focuses on four subjects – the foreigner, the queer, the indigenous, and the outsider, and the “Nucleo Storico”, which focuses on modernisms in the Global South, and artists working in the 20th century in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and South and Southeast Asia. Biennale Arte 2024 will take place from 20 April through 24 November, 2024.
At the same time, Trevor Yeung has been selected by M+ and Hong Kong Arts Development Council as the featured artist to present in the Hong Kong Collateral Event at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. The solo exhibition of Trevor Yeung will be curated by Olivia Chow (Assistant Curator, Visual Art, M+), and will take place from 20 April through 24 November, 2024.
