Blindspot Gallery is delighted to announce that Hao Jingban has been selected as the winner of the second Han Nefkens Foundation, Mori Art Museum, M+ Hong Kong and Singapore Art Museum – Moving Image Commission 2023.
Hao will receive 100,000 USD for the production of a screen-based video work, for which she now has up to 18 months to complete. Each of the museums will display and acquire the work for their respective collections. The Han Nefkens Foundation will have a long-term loan of the commissioned work which it can share at the art institutions it collaborates with.
The commission is directed at artists of Asian origin, nationality or living in Asia who have established a solid trajectory. It aims to be a tool for increasing contemporary artistic production within the field of moving images.
