It has been suggested that both science fiction and contemporary art express and explore concerns about the nature of human experience; and both are enthralled by technology and the possibilities of the future. So what do we get from the overlapping of sci-fi and art?
Held on the occasion of Angela Su’s solo exhibition and her sci-fi book project Dark Fluid (to be launched in August 2017), this talk will focus on science fiction as concept in Angela’s practice. Yeung Yang (art writer/ curator), Mary Lee (writer) and Angela will discuss their thoughts about science fiction and its relationship with contemporary art. The talk will be conducted in Cantonese.
