Isaac Chong Wai’s work is currently on view in a group exhibition “Liquid Body, Leaking Frontier” at Goethe-Institut China, Beijing, China.
“Within the framework of the “798 Teahouse” project, from September 11, 2026 to January 17, 2027, the Goethe-Institut Beijing will host the exhibition project “Liquid Body, Leaking Frontier,” organized and initiated by curator Tang Yifei. The exhibition’s introductory archive comes from Freud’s letters during the 1920 Spanish flu pandemic. These will be juxtaposed with paper paintings, sculptural installations, and video works, using bodily imagery and embodied perception as containers to introduce a delayed digestion and a protracted process of reaction. This project also thanks 69 Art Campus for its special support.” —Goethe-Institut China
