Description
In Teleportation, Lai Lon Hin persistently zooms into objects and people, as he takes pictures with his cellphone camera, to the point of blurry pixelation in which three-dimensional space is compressed into a flat plane. As he zooms in, Lai crops out superfluous details and places his subject in the centre of the square frame. The image world he creates on a daily basis is realised one square at a time. It is a world whose contour defies definition, yet subjective and directing.
