楔Xiē is an ongoing interchange of experiences, feelings, and visuals among four friends, Hao Jingban, Shen Xin, Yunyu “Ayo” Shih, and Qu Chang. Echoing with the wooden wedge tool that works to penetrate, connect, lift, and restructure, 楔Xiē functions as a growing set of tactics that embeds individuals, events and worlds into one another. It aims to rework one’s relationship with their surroundings, disturbing and changing various structures which they are a part of. Dwelling in and moving between different places, including Berlin, Beijing, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Minnesota and New York, the four vibrate with each other when Covid and other social and personal uncertainties continue to disrupt their worlds and homes.
楔Xiē had their exhibition: “楔 XIĒ: 連接，嵌入，反射，承托 TO BIND, EMBED, SHIMMER, AND BRACE” at daadgalerie in Berlin in 2022.
