Luke Casey is an image-based artist working primarily with video and photography. His short videos merge cinematic finesse with MV tempo, indie timbre, and CGI-AI interventions, creating a fantasy world that straddles between surreality and dark humour. With a keen eye to the urban sensorium, Casey captures the psychological urge to adventure, explore internally, and become alterity.
Casey has had multiple exhibitions including solo exhibition “Spectre” at Tomorrow Maybe (Hong Kong, 2022) and “YeP YeP” group exhibition at Present Projects (Hong Kong, 2021). Casey’s works have been featured in different film festivals, such as London Short Film Festival (2022) and the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Paris (2022). He has collaborated with numerous musicians including Bladee, Brian Nasty, Aya Gloomy, N.Y.P.D., Baebadoobee, and more, and produced videos for brands such as Marc Jacobs and Helmut Lang. His videos have showcased on international media outlets including i-D, Dazed, NOWNESS, and more.
Casey is based between London and Hong Kong.
