Stella Zhong (b. 1993, Shenzhen, China) works with sculpture, video, painting, and installation to explore topics of physics, astronomy, technology, systems, the contemporary human condition, and the future world. Byarranging her geometrically-shaped and sleek-looking objects in an idiosyncratic built environments with radical scale-shifts, Zhong’s work not only reflects the contemporary experience by provoking both intimacy and alienation, but also makes space where rationality and logic deviates and alternative modes of power, knowledge creation, and empathy expand.
Zhong has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions at Asia Society Texas Center (Houston, 2024), Leeum Museum of Art (Seoul, 2024), the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum(Ridgefield, 2022), SculptureCenter (New York, 2022), Mana Contemporary (Jersey City, 2021), Japan Society(New York, 2020) among others.
Zhong currently lives and works in New York, USA.
