About Flower Show series
This is our playground, and the themes are games and representation.
Perhaps, deep in our subconscious, there lies what Carl Jung called "collective unconscious". We may not know each other, but together we are all engaged in the dreams of this materialistic world. I love its potential randomness and playfulness. It is like fish finally realize they’ve been living in water, their movements are limited but free. That comforts my heart – people are after simple and beautiful things, even they are clichéd and irrelevant to the real world.
Reality and representation are overlapping, confronting yet merging with each other. We can infuse our emotions in this little flower and interpret it as we like. Copies of a copy; representation after representation – all happens over and over amidst our laughter.
